Day 22 – Through the Valley, To the Mountain

Day 22 – Through the Valley, To the Mountain

Scripture:

  • Psalm 42:11 (NIV) – “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”

  • Hebrews 13:5 (NIV) – “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Dear Friends,

I am not only a survivor and leader — I am also a business owner. That means I carry not just my own experiences, but also the weight of responsibility for my employees. They rely on me and my husband to keep going, to keep building, and to provide stability. Some days the pressure feels heavy, but I know the work is worth it. God entrusted me with this calling, and He equips me with the strength to carry it.

Still, there are mornings when the valley feels close. After a long week, a full working weekend, and now another Monday-to-Friday stretch beginning before I feel ready, my body is tired and my heart feels heavy. The rain outside only deepened the gloom.

But God met me in that place. His reminder was simple: the valley is not forever—it is the path that leads to the mountain.

I prayed: “Lord, I want to be out of the valley.” And in that cry, hope flickered again. Fear, doubt, and shame don’t hold the final word. God does. And even in the valley, I can keep walking toward His mountain of strength.

🌄 Action List: Moving From Valley Thinking to Mountain Strength

Inspired by “Mountain of God,” here are ways we can shift our mindset and build mountain-strength faith:

  1. Name the Valley Thoughts – Write down the lies that pull you down (“I’m not enough,” “I’ll never change,” “I’m too tired”). Expose them to God’s light.

  2. Claim God’s Promise – Replace each valley thought with a scripture truth (“Never will I leave you” / “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”).

  3. Take One Small Step – Mountains are climbed step by step. Make one courageous move today—send the text, pray the prayer, walk outside.

  4. Lean on Support – Valleys isolate, but mountains are climbed in community. Share your struggle with a safe friend, pastor, or counselor.

  5. Lift Your Eyes – Literally look up. Go outside, find the sky, the mountain, the horizon. Remember your story isn’t stuck here—God has more ahead.

Hope Goals for Today

  • Goal: Reach out instead of isolating.

  • Pathway: Name the fears and habits that try to hold me down, and invite God’s truth to replace them.

  • Next Step: Choose one act of courage—call a friend, ask for prayer, or take one small step toward healing.

Reflection

I may be tired, but God’s promises are unchanging. The valley is not my destination—it’s just part of the journey. His love lifts me up, even when my feet feel heavy.
