Day 13 – Upward Falling the Power of Prayer
Dear Friends,
Psalm 33:18 says: “But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.”
Today I reflect on what it means to fall upward. There were seasons when my prayers felt heavy—like I was collapsing under the weight of grief, rejection, and shame. But God has shown me that when my knees hit the ground, my spirit soars. This is the paradox of hope: we fall, but we fall upward into His arms.
This last year has been a season of redefining. God placed two new career paths before me. In prayer, I asked which way forward was His will for my next season. He showed me the one I should embrace—the path that will carry me through the next few decades. With courage, I stepped into insurance once again, a career I had left behind during the darkest days of abuse. Now, I return not in defeat, but in strength.
At the same time, I am rewriting the Redefine Your Life course curriculum for Stronger Women®. That feels fitting, because I too am redefining my life—growing, restructuring, and learning what it means to follow God into new chapters. This decision allows me to sustain my family and build financial stability while continuing to lead Stronger Women®, my 19-year passion, ministry, and nonprofit.
Redefining doesn’t mean erasing the past. It means integrating what we’ve survived into a stronger, freer future. It means letting God write the next lines of our story with His unfailing love.
What are you Redefining Today ?
✨ 5 HOPE Tips for the Day
-
Pray Upward, Not Downward – Let prayer be the place where you rise, even when life feels heavy.
-
Redefine Your Chapter – Don’t be afraid to step into something new. God may be writing a fresh story for you.
-
Embrace Both/And – You can hold on to your calling and pursue provision. God honors sustainability as much as sacrifice.
-
See Change as Growth – A year of restructuring doesn’t mean failure—it means you’re preparing for fruit.
-
Declare Your Worth – Say it aloud: “I am worthy of love. I am worthy of freedom. I am stepping into my new season with hope.”
Friend, I am choosing to rise again, to embrace this season of redefining, and to trust that God’s love reaches farther than I can see. May you, too, fall upward today—into the safety, freedom, and new beginnings only He can give.
With hope and anticipation,
Dr. Brooke 💙
