Dear friends:

Espresso is layered: the heart, the body, and the crema. Each part matters, and together they create something bold and beautiful. Our lives are the same. Even when one layer feels weak or bitter, God brings the whole together into a story filled with meaning.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us of His promise:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

This week, God opened two new restorative paths for me — including returning to insurance, a career I began decades ago. Stepping onto a new pathway brings a swirl of emotions: excitement for the future, fear of the unknown, happiness at seeing doors open, and gratitude for God’s restoring hand. Underneath them all, hope is rising.

But here’s the truth: despair is always waiting to rob us of that hope. When we feel disconnected from tomorrow — when we doubt that we have any role in shaping it — our spirits shut down. We lose motivation. We withdraw. We stop performing at our best. Despair whispers that tomorrow doesn’t belong to us.

Hope says the opposite. Hope reminds us that we do have a part in tomorrow, that our story is still being written, and that God is actively shaping a future for us. When we believe we have a role in the process, we soar. We step forward with courage. We live with expectancy. And we find strength even in the unknown.

The song “The Story I’ll Tell” by Naomi Raine captures this perfectly: one day, we will all look back and testify that God never failed us. That is the story we will tell.

My story continues to unfold in ways I did not expect, but God is faithful in my life and he will be in yours too!

✅ Takeaway Tip for Today: Write down one way you know you have a part in tomorrow. Name the pathway — big or small — where you believe God is inviting you to act, and claim it as part of your story.
